I am Qingchen Tang, currently an MPhil student at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), supervised by Yang, with co-supervision from Flora and Sanjay.
My research interests focus on vision–language models, generative model safety, and machine unlearning. I also have solid research experience in image segmentation, with particular attention to weakly supervised and annotation-efficient medical image segmentation.
Prior to my MPhil studies, I completed a Master of Information Technology (Coursework) at UNSW. During this time, I undertook two research courses, COMP9991 and COMP9993, under the supervision of Yang, where my work primarily investigated weakly supervised medical image segmentation methods.
Some of my research topics are outlined below. If you are interested in any of them, I would be happy to discuss further. My publications and outputs can also be found on my GitHub and Google Scholar pages.
