Hello my reader! I am Tammy, a PhD student supervised by Morri and Yang. Previously, I graduated from Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Software) at UNSW where Morri was also my primary supervisor for my honours thesis. Currently, my research focus is on the area of Computational Machine Ethics (check out our survey paper on this!).I am specifically on ethical AI agents.

I am also invested in exploring the capabilities of large language models and their capabilities in ethical decision-making or how we can leverage them to facilitate such processes (a bit controversial!). More generally, the intersection between the ambiguity/art of humans and the certainty/science of machines interests me greatly.

Outside of my research, I am passionate about teaching and working with students. Love contributing to students’ lightbulb moments, progress and their journey in overcoming learning challenges. It is an extremely rewarding process.

Happy to chat about my research, if you are interested, please don’t hesitate to reach out! (Details at the beginning)

Lastly, I want to end on something totally irrelevant: The world is a great place, but not easy, let’s all keep being kind and understanding to each other and make it even better <3
